camm biodegrades without
nano- and microplastics.
In combination with paper, it is a sustainable and
functional solution for the packaging industry.
Once our green supply chains are fully realized, camm will be fully biobased, e.g. made out of bio waste from renewables. Already today camm carries critical sustainability features such as biodegradability, water solubility, compostability and recyclability.
For packaging, patented formulations and processes that combine camm with paper are able to reproduce all necessary barrier functions needed to package food and non-food goods. The disposal
For packaging, patented formulations and processes that combine camm with paper are able to reproduce all necessary barrier functions needed to package food and non-food goods. The disposal is simple and convenient for consumers: Once the camm packaging has been used, consumers can simply throw it into the paper bin. In the paper recycling process water is added. The camm material easily dissolves and decomposes back into its original building blocks: oxygen, carbon and biomass, leaving the system through the sewage without a trace. The paper fibers are fully recovered for recycling into new paper. With camm, packaging can be created that has a functional end-of-life almost all over the world.
100% biodegradable (land, water, marine environment)
100% water soluble
Leaves no nano- or micro plastics behind
Compostable
Recyclable (per design)
Enables camm coated paper fibres to be fully recycled
100% free of toxins
Food contact approved
Processable with industry standard technologies (e.g. coating, extrusion, injection molding)
Meets broad barrier properties
We all know that plastic pollution is a huge problem globally. Finding solutions is the challenge. The existing ones often lack one of the three dimensions – true sustainability, commercial viability or scalability.
It is made out of natural materials
It produces no nano- or microplastic
It is fully bio-degradable within days to months depending on the design
It is non-toxic
