OUR STORY

Camm Solutions was initiated by Christoph Bertsch, a serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in building businesses, who was driven to solve the microplastic problem for one of his other companies. The CAMM® idea resulted out of this quest. Supported by a diverse international group of shareholders representing the full CAMM® value chain from raw material to recycling, close to €50M were invested to develop patented CAMM® formulations and launch sustainable game changers like CAMM® air pillows, stretch film and rigids. Today, CAMM® embodies a practical vision of sustainability, proving that innovative ideas paired with entrepreneurial drive can create real-world eco-friendly solutions.

MEET THE TEAM

We are a team of scientists, engineers, and sustainability advocates, operating in Europe and the US. Our main locations are Spain for R&D, lab work, product industrialization, and base material production, and Germany and the US for connecting with our customers.

  • Lead Founder & Managing Director, Serial Entrepreneur and Astronomy Photographer

    Christoph is a serial entrepreneur and visionary who has innovated in diverse industries for over 25 years, already starting up during his studies of Business and Industrial Engineering in Stuttgart, Germany. With ventures like Bertsch Innovation (IT), Simpleshow (Edutainment), or Blutsgeschwister (Fashion), as well as health innovator Vejo, he has worked across industries and disciplines, his companies addressing diverse target groups.

    Christoph thrives on untangling complex problems that stump experts, applying his broad knowledge and business expertise to create products and offerings that have relevance at scale.

    Christoph’s love and passion for the outdoors drove him to the creation and development of CAMM®, uniting a group of like-minded shareholders to support the mission.

    A talented and skilled photographer, with a focus on astronomy, Christoph enjoys capturing the universe's awe-inspiring beauty. This passion fuels his commitment to Earth's preservation adding to his motivation to build up CAMM®. His global perspective is enriched by extensive travel to all corners of the Earth as well as a seven-year stint in L.A.

  • Managing Director and Global Sustainability Expert

    Nanda brings over 17 years of experience in business transformation towards sustainability to her role as Managing Director at Camm Solutions.

    Her studies of International Relations at TU Dresden and a Masters of Gender, Development and Globalisation at the London School of Economics, complements her interdisciplinary professional journey.

    At the German Non Food Retailer and Coffee Roaster Tchibo, she spearheaded the transformation into a sustainable business, working on supply chain responsibility alongside upgrading the company’s circularity performance. In the global arena she co-negotiated groundbreaking industry initiatives like the Bangladesh Accord on Fire and Building Safety, Act on Living Wages and the Organic Cotton Accelerator.

    Having firsthand experienced the detriment of plastic pollution in Asia, Latin America and Africa during her tenure at Tchibo, Nanda joined Christoph in 2022, to help build the business and starting spreading the message on CAMM’s global potential.

    She believes that clearing up the planet not only protects people’s health and the planet’s biodiversity, but it also positively impacts peoples’ psyches.

    Outside of her professional endeavors, Nanda is an avid traveler, nature enthusiast, meditation practitioner, and loves to engage in art and music.

  • Chief Finance Officer

    Judit's career spans from economic auditing at E&Y to shaping the financial foundations of biotech startups. Her decade as a CFO, managing firms with intense R&D activities, have given her deep insights across businesses with diverse technologies in different sectors.

    This experience is a valuable asset to building the financial backbone of Camm Solution's global activities. Born in Galicia, she grew up surrounded by nature in its purest state, loving animals and spending time outdoors. Traveling, reading, painting are her passions, as well as spending time with her family, especially her husband and her 5 year old son. The latter made her environmental awareness grow even more, and became the main driver for her interest and enthusiasm with the CAMM® project, the possibility to participate and do her bit to make a better world possible for those who come after us.

  • VP Business Development US

    Brenden Dwyer, our Chief Business Development Officer in the U.S., brings a wealth of experience in business development, management, and operations. With a background that spans key roles in sales, partnerships, and strategy, he is uniquely positioned to support building up the commercial side of the Camm operations in the United States.

    Starting out in Advertising Sales at NBC, Brenden quickly gravitated towards the health and fitness industry. In his previous role as Head of Operations at Health and Lifestyle innovator Vejo in L.A., Brenden led the day-to-day operations for the company.

    Born and raised in Chicago with its great environment and having lived in California for the past 6 years, Brenden has always had a great appreciation for the outdoors, especially the beach and ocean. This inspires him to preserve the beauty of nature and protect people and animals from the toxic chemicals of plastics in the environment. Through his support and engagement, he is breaking ground to scale CAMM® globally.

    Michalis is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in international sales, project management, and service applications. His impressive tenure includes more than a decade at renowned companies like Bosch and Syntegon, where he undertook significant roles across Germany and China, marking him as a truly global thinker.

    With an educational background that marries a MBA with a Mechanical Engineering Degree, Michalis's expertise lies in forging strong partnerships and enhancing processes and procedures. His focus is not just on providing services and products but ensuring these innovations generate substantial added value for our partners, aligning perfectly with Camm's mission of sustainable solutions.

    Michalis's international outlook and commitment to continuous improvement is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction of our sales and partnerships. His vision extends beyond the conventional business framework, embracing a holistic approach that combines business acumen with technological innovation within a meaningful context. For Michalis, CAMM® represents the ideal fusion of these elements, driving positive impacts on nature and life quality.

    Away from the strategic realms of Camm Solutions, Michalis is a dedicated father to two daughters, reflecting his nurturing and guiding principles both at home and in the professional sphere. On top of that his enthusiasm for sports and music illustrates his multifaceted personality.
